Schaumburg A.M. Rotary is seeking outstanding local high school students to participate in one of two Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) retreats (an all expenses paid, 3 day program) scheduled for either March 9 - 12 or April 13 - 16, 2023 at Edwards YMCA Camp & Conference Center in East Troy, Wisconsin, located near Alpine Valley.

The RYLA program emphasizes both personal growth and leadership skills development in addition to citizenship. It is to designed to provide participants with an opportunity to explore and further develop those skills with their peers having similar capabilities.

The three day weekend includes fun, recreation and education for all involved. Participants hear from nationally recognized speakers and return home both inspired and motivated to make a difference in their school, their community and beyond. Feedback regarding this weekend experience is that it is always outstanding.  Take a look at the video below to learn more about the RYLA retreat experience.

Most students who attend are typically very involved in their school or community, although this is not the case with every individual.
