Schaumburg A.M. Rotary is seeking outstanding local high school students to participate in the Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) program retreat (3 nights / 4 days - Thursday - Sunday) scheduled to be held at Edwards Camp & Conference Center in East Troy, Wisconsin, located near Alpine Valley.

Students may choose from any one of the following sessions -

Spring Retreat #1 - March 12 - 15, 2020 (cancelled due to COVID19)
Spring Retreat #2 - April 2 - 5, 2020

The purpose of RYLA is to recognize young people who have demonstrated leadership skills or show potential to be leaders and provide them with an opportunity to explore and further develop these skills with others with similar capabilities. Student feedback on this experience is that it is always outstanding.  Take a look at the video below to learn more about the RYLA retreat experience.

Any high school age student in District 211 (current freshman through senior) is eligible. Students do not have to possess any specific qualifications or grade point average. Most students who attend are typically very involved in their school or community, although this is not the case with every individual. Anyone/Everyone who attends will have fun and get a lot out of the conference.

Schaumburg A.M. Rotary will sponsor and financially support those students selected to participate in the 2019/2020 RYLA retreats.
