At the club's December 7th holiday party Schaumburg AM Rotarians donated a number of Target store gift cards to the Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) of North & Northwest Cook County that will be distributed to families who utilize services provided by this organization.
CAC's mission is twofold - to prevent violence against children and to empower and heal children and families who have experienced abuse.
Later in December club members also donated a total of 24 holiday gift bags filled with a variety of items to local senior citizens who are confined to their homes, assisted living/rehabilitation facilities or nursing homes to brighten their day and let them know they are not forgotten at this time of year.
