At today's club meeting we welcomed Robert Frost Jr. High Interact Club Faculty Advisor Sharon Barrick and the Kohli Family.

Our Interact Club earlier this summer launched a fundraising project - spearheaded by the Kohli daughters who enjoy strong parental support - which will involve tie dying white t-shirts by hand and selling them, with the proceeds benefiting the Asante Africa Foundation whose mission is to help educate kids in East Africa.

The Interact Club’s goal is to raise $2,000 in two months that will provide learning desks for approximately 150 -200 students.  To date they have raised approximately $500 thanks in part to club members who generously purchased t-shirts to support this effort.  Schaumburg A.M. Rotary is proud to sponsor this Interact Club and we look forward to getting progress reports from them on this project.
