Asst Dist 6440 Governor Suzanne Gibson attended our club’s January 18 meeting and presented Schaumburg AM Rotary club president Tim Gerhardt and all those present that day with a small, simple but yet effective token of the District’s recognition of our club’s efforts to change and improve the lives of others in our community.

Schaumburg AM Rotarians work collaboratively with community leaders and public service agencies to provide youth mentoring and leadership development programs, vocational scholarship assistance, new winter coats to students at the Marletta Darnall Schaumburg Child & Family Center, food for those who are hungry both locally (through donations to the Schaumburg Twp. Food Pantry) and internationally (through hands-on participation in meal packing events hosted by the Feed My Starving Children organization) and much more.

Club members recognize that children and families, both around the corner and around the world, need grass roots support from their communities in order to flourish and succeed both in school and in life.  When they thrive, we all are better off as a result.  It’s community service organizations such as Rotary and the small actions their members take on a daily basis that impacts and improves lives one individual, one child, one family at a time.
