Schaumburg AM Rotary continued its annual tradition of donating more than 100 brand new, high quality, warm winter coats - sourced through Operation Warm - to kids from low income families who utilize early childhood care and education services provided by Brightpoint’s Marletta Darnall Child & Family Center located in Schaumburg.
This preschool facility serves children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age. It offers community-based programs that focus on the needs of children, parents, and caregivers and promotes healthy family functioning in addition to child growth and development during their critical early years.
Club members look forward to the annual coat-fitting session with the kids since it warms our hearts as do the smiles on the faces of the kids who receive them.
Through this annual donation we are helping at-risk children stay warm during the winter months but also providing them with the confidence and comfort they need to learn and thrive in their daily activities.
