Community Vocational Scholarships
The Schaumburg Rotary Club (AM) and the Schaumburg/Hoffman Estates Rotary Club will award up to eight $200 to $1,500 scholarships for post-secondary training in vocational, technical and certificate programs. The awards may only be issued to defray the cost of tuition, fees, books and supplies at the school of choice. The recipient must be a resident of Schaumburg Township.
PLEASE NOTE: The scholarships are NOT for students pursuing traditional four year Bachelor's degree. Upon selection to receive a local award, up to four winners will be selected to participate in an additional Rotary District 6440 Scholarship competition. The District will award up to eighteen additional $1000 scholarships.
TO APPLY YOU MUST:
1. Be a graduating senior, high school graduate, or graduate with a GED.
2. Attend, or plan to attend, a two year or four year school providing vocational training. Certificate programs and trade schools qualify for this scholarship.
3. These scholarships DO NOT qualify for two year programs which immediately lead to four year Bachelor Degree programs.
4. Complete the scholarship application (type written or computer generated preferred), and return it to your school counselor or return it directly to Greg Hollandsworth or Don Minor by February 18th. Pick up can be arranged by calling Don Minor at 224-558-6149.
